Spegel (2024)
Site-specific performance

framed pencil drawings

duration 30 minutes

Through a guided tour in the former artist’s home, audiences were led through domestic rooms otherwise closed to visitors, where two characters performed a dialogue—sometimes visible, sometimes only audible.
At the end, a participant addressed the audience with a monologue before leaving the house, inviting others to follow.

The architecture, objects and stories of the home inter with the voices, sounds and score of the actors. Drawings were dispersed accompanying the collection of historic artworks in the estate, sometimes replacing works that had been there before.

The work took place during the exhitbition Speglingar (2024) curated by Nadja Ericson and Karin Lindstén at the Kajsa & Olle Nymans studio museum. The performance took place inside the artist estate, otherwise inaccessible to visitors without a guide.
